Baltimore Hunks On A Lamp Post

Baltimore Hunks On A Lamp Post

Aren't they cute!!?? So thin! Look at their hair styles and clothing styles! Hard to judge their ages. The age of the lamp post probably is the best clue as to when this pic was taken.

Which brings me to the next part of what is important in keeping paper pictures for your family and area history::: LABEL YOUR PICS!
NOT like some did back then when their writing came right through the pictures!
There are nice removable labels out there now in different sizes. Having sold these neat kind of pics on Ebay and other online sites for years I feel sad when people didn't label them. Pictures only go back in family histories so far.

Will Your Kids Have a Paper Picture History?

Sooo many younger people in our friends' & in our extended families and our younger friends don't even have their pictures downloaded, saved, labled or printed. They enjoy them for the moment. But hey! That's only a part of what pictures are all about! They connect you to your past... You only truly understand yourself and life when you dig into the past and find out who these people are in the past and what were their contributions to who you are today and all mankind.

Are You New Here?

Fan of Batman?

Fan of Batman? I wasn't back when I was a kid. I loved Wonder Woman with her invisible plane and other neat inventions. I loved Superman also even though he didn't seem to be the sharpest dude on the block. I loved the western cowboys like Hoppalong Cassidy and Gene Autry who fought for others and for good and always won and who didn't use the four letter "f..." word in every other sentence to entertain us. But when I was older and the cool Batman made it into the movies with his neat car and cool enemies, I became a fan.

Beware What Citicard Promises On the Phone

A bit of sad advice. A friend couldn't believe what she was told on the phone by the Citicard rep. She had misplaced her latest credit card bill and when she found it, it was going to be late. So she called to pay the late fee along with the monthly bill. They were so kind and told her since she had been their customer for over 40 years, the late fee would be dropped. That was said even without a request to do it!  Amazing we thought! Wonderful! Something good coming out of the credit card industry. But sadly when her bill for this month arrived there was the late fee.
So what is the life lesson here?
Don't believe Citicard promises on the phone.

Ravens, Superbowl and Boomer Afterthoughts

Ravens...what a ride you gave us this year!

Thank you! Thank you! Whew! What a game last night!

Ray Lewis...thank you for what you have given to Baltimore! Good luck in  your next stage of life. Retirement  at 37! Ha! Ha!

Joe Flacco...thank you for your performances in the games since you joined the Ravens! Watching you is so exciting just like when we  watched  Johnny Unitas!

All the Ravens! Thank you for looking at the win as a team!

SUPER BOWL AFTER THOUGHTS...

CBS ... better take a look back at Boomer's words and body language last night! You can do better than him! He was soooo  insulting to Shannon Sharp's interview of Ray Lewis , the people of Baltimore and the Raven fans. Remind him the Bible says don't judge others...leave it up to God. I bet if we looked into Boomer's  background we would find some shady doings just like all of us. Check out Boomer's  demeaning tone and words to Rachel Ray during her food prep feature...she didn't react back to him like I would have. I would have dumped the food right on him. His demeaning comments to the other announcers to stop focusing on Ray Lewis. Maybe in the future for the games you can round up some non-partial announcers to do the Ravens games. They and the people of Baltimore deserved better. I think  you should give Boomer the award for the best pompous pufferbelly!

I thought Beyonce was as beautiful as ever but I thought  the performance had too much squeezed in the time and the quality of the sound came through tvs muffled.

Commercials: too too  many! It actually took away from the enjoyment of each commercial.

Well back to the real world of Nutrisystem and sleep apnea machines til next  year's football season!

Guess we gotta check out the Orioles' spring training season here in Sarasota and go get a Baltimore moment!
