IF YOU ARE ON MEDICARE AND ARE PLANNING ON MOVING TO FREDERICKSBURG VA THINK TWICE AND READ THIS

I have had to move back to Fredericksburg VA  recently from Florida.
Yesterday morning I started calling internal medicine doctors listed on the internet medical sites to find a new base doctor.
By LUNCH TIME I finally found my first one that had an opening but not til September! I hope my prescriptions last!
The receptionists at each place politely told me they had their limit of Medicare patients at:
Colonial Internal Medicine Associates who then refused to take me.
Dr Ameen's group on Rt 3 same thing.
One physician's receptionist  in downtown Fredericksburg was so kind as to tell me he takes info from potential patients and reviews it and decides which ones he will accept.
One receptionist at a location that wouldn't take any Medicare patients advised me to call Mary Washington Hospital for referrals. I did. They didn't . They put me on Voicemail and never returned my call for help!
Far different than Florida! No Dr Chiaramonte, Dr Grave, Dr Gassett or Dr Hendrick  up here!!!
THIS STINKS OF DISCRIMINATION AGAINST SENIOR CITIZENS!!!!
I would like to pursue this issue!!!!
Anybody else know what seniors can do to change this legally?
I hope there is some place in this town to help newcomers to the area soon. This is pitiful and very different from when I lived here twenty years ago! Shame on you medical world here! Florida physicians complain but don't refuse people!

POSTCARD TRAVELER TRIP THROUGH ALL US COUNTIES STOP #1 ESCAMBIA COUNTY

NEW POSTCARD JOURNEY STARTING ESCAMBIA COUNTY FLORIDA STOP #1

A blogger buddy mentioned in one of his blogs today that a friend of his has visited EVERY county in the US.
I emailed back asking if he really meant EVERY county and he said yes.

According to the USGS there are 3007 counties in our country.

Got me thinking... that would be a fun Postcard Traveler trip!
So here we go... you are invited.
Since we are not limited by road travel we can go as the postcards flow!

We're  starting in Florida... :
Escambia County first stop.
Love it over there:
Pensacola is its county seat...established in 1821...One of the two original counties.

Here's a neat postcard view from there :

We almost moved there before we decided on the Tampa area.
Beautiful beaches.
Don't forget your suntan lotion.

UPDATE:
1 county visited and 3006 US counties to go.
This trip is fun like Star Trek's "The Next Generation's" characters visits to their Holadeck . Like them we  can stop when we want and go back to the places when we want. We can  pick the postcards we want like they picked their characters, time and places. Originally I was going to do all the counties in one state and then move to another state. But that became boring. So that's what this update is all about. The Star Trek crew could go in and out and take breaks if they wanted. And that is what I have done also. Life has recently dealt me unexpected turns that took taken much of my time but now I am ready to travel again! So come along  and join the fun
:) !
